Cheers to Valentine's Day where we choose to celebrate not only the romantic kind, but also the love of friendship and family, or simply love in general. Need some creativity on planning a celebration? Check out these ideas that will create an experience to remember.   GALENTINE'S. WHO KNEW IT WAS A THING? Of course you’re familiar with that other love-centric holiday in February, but in recent years, a new day to celebrate the ones you adore has become increasingly popular. We’re talking about Galentine’s Day! Occurring the week of Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s Day is a celebration of the lady friends in your life. Basically a girls' night out with an extra dose of love and gratitude. Don't miss it this year!   SPECIAL WAYS TO CUSTOMIZE A GIFT. How many times have you tried to customize gifts and it's just another giant teddy bear, roses or a box of chocolates? Not very exciting unless you really want to add to that giant teddy bear collection. You can impress your special someone with the gift of a memorable experience! This year, try a picnic in the park, a day at the museum or even a paint and sip class.  Make it unique and don't forget the Pinot!   ROMANCE YOUR BEST NIGHT IN. Staying in doesn't have to be about binging your favorite Netflix shows. Learn to cook a gourmet meal, have a picnic in the living room or even wine tasting around the house can be fun when you're looking to light a few candles. Put on some music, get out the charcuterie board & wine and celebrate love. You can create a unique and fun Date Night in instead of out, from the comfort of your own home!   TRIVIA ADVENTURE Discover new bars and restaurants that have trivia night in your city. How fun is it to be able to outsmart your partner or group of friends in categories of food, math or pop culture? Test your knowledge or learn something new. Make a team and see how far you'll get with champion prizes. Gaining knowledge is very impressionable.   TREAT YOURSELF We know what you're thinking. "Treat myself? Isn't this suppose to celebrate my love for everyone else?" The answer to that is, YES! Treat yourself! Have a girls' day at the spa or go out to eat at your favorite restaurant without your family or the kids. Take a responsibility-free night out with good food and good company. You deserve it!   KID CRAFTY Valentine's Day boxes are very popular and dates back as far as we can remember. Well maybe it's not that ancient, but they are special, cute and fun to show off.  Make a mailbox with your little one. All it takes is a shoebox, some wrapping paper, a little glitter, and some help from mom or dad for the heavy gluing. Your little one won't be able to wait to have it filled with cards and sweet treats.   Whether you choose to celebrate romantically, for the love of friendship, family or simple gratitude, take these ideas and create memorable experiences that will last forever.
